~~Visual Kei style~~

The Visual Kei is NOT a music style, is only based on clothes, make up and stetic.

This movement originaly start in the 70s when the first jrocks bands start appearing, trying to copy the new styles that where entering to Japan. They star taking their look from bands as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.
Some of the bands start taking a female look.
Visual Scandal and Murbas/'Visual Violence.

In the 80s the bands start transforming their look in something more based in the Kabuki Theather.
Seikima II and Kabuki Rocks

At the same time, some of the bands became really famous and we still remeber many of them, they start adding a Gothic style, Metal and with a lot of influences of the Classic musis and Glam style.
Buck-Tick and X Japan

The 90s is considered the start of the Visual Kei as we know it now.
The bands start experimenting with new styles of music, not only heavy metal and rock, sound of pop, techno, gothic and punk start appearing.
Malice Mizer and Lareine


~Oshare Kei~
Began to appear in Japan around 2001.
Oshare=stylish, fashionable or fashion conscious
When Oshare began, the majority of the Visual scene was normally considered to be "dark" in style and lyrical content.
Modern Pop/Punk.
Lyrics, tend to focus on subject matter that is positive, often about love and relationships.
Clothes: usually bright colorful striped stuff looking cute and childish
Bands: Antic Cafe, LM.C, Panic Channel, Baroque, Shelly Trip Realize, Ichigo69 and Shoujo Lolita 23q -- Ayabie by ~Marilynja (Im sorry I forgot to put them ^^'

~Kote Kote Kei~
One of the most traditional styles in the Visual Kei.
Got his big hit in the 90s.
Always in this style each member of the band need to have a different hair color, so that the fans could recognise them.
Hair colors: red purple blue orange
Clothes: leather latex corsets big and really high plataforms
Accesories: glamorous scarfs gloves rings hats and earings excesive make up
Bands: Syndrome, La Mul, Blood, Due le Quartz, Madeth Gray'll, D and in general all the bands that where in the label Matina

~Elegant Gothic Lolita/Elegant Gothic Aristocrat~
Style that came from the Gothic music.
Clothes EGL: like the old antic dolls childish
Clothes EGA: gothic japanese style
Bands: Malice Mizer, Lareine and Moi dix Mois.

~Euroguro Kei~
Euroguro=Erotic and Grotesque
The make up is usually use so that the members of the band have bad look.
Clothes: jacket blouse destroy clothes vinil
Bands: Despairs Ray, The Piass, Cali?Gari and Kagerou.

~White Kei~
They have a light sound.
Lyrics: usualy melancolics
Usually the vocalist is dress in white.
Bands: Heidi and Alice Nine.

~Nagoya Kei~
Bands that camr from Nagoya Njinkjnkjn.
Bands:

~Koi kei X~
Koi=The sense of Love
Kei=For the style
X=Contamination
It have like a POP/ROCK music style.
Lyrics: Love
Clothes: punk japanese style destroy clothes chains pins
Bands: Miyavi, Kagrra, The GazettE, Alice Nine (Usually all the one that are label by PS Company) and Gackt

~Angura Kei~
Angura=Undergruond
Bands with a lot of influence of the original japanese music.
Clothes: kimonos japanese school uniforms tipic japanese clothes
Make up: black and withe
This bands try to get the most possible japanese style without the other countries influence.
Bands: Guruguru Eikagan, Inugami Circus Dan, Onmyouza and Kagrra.
